Chosen, Re-examined

God chose to make Adam and Eve. He chose to give man dominion over all the earth.
Enoch walked with God and was not for God took him. God chose to take Enoch to Heaven.
God saw only one who served Him, Noah. Noah was found pleasing in God’s sight. So, God chose to preserve all species as well as Noah and his family in a humongous boat. 450 feet long. 75 feet wide. 45 feet tall. The total cubic volume was 1,518,000 cubic feet. "This would be equal to the capacity of 569 modern railroad stock cars (Christian Answers Network)." That is slightly off the subject let's switch back. Abraham was a righteous man who pleased God and so God chose to make a covenant with Abraham. This covenant made the obedient offspring of Abraham inheritors on earth and for eternity. God promised Abraham a son but he and his wife did not wait on God but took matters into their own hands thinking they were helping God fulfill his promise. God likewise rejected man’s mistake, Ishmael, and eventually delivered Isaac through which the covenant was passed onto and through. The descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are descendants of Abraham, the chosen of God. God chose Jacob not because of his deceitfulness but because Esau treated his choseness as if it was worthless. And so Jacob who was willing to risk all for the inheritance was made he through which the inheritance would be passed down through his descendants. You see the inheritances weren’t given to every son until after Jacob. Keep in mind though that every son’s inheritance was hinged on obedience to God for man is not destined for covenants but they are bound or loosed from them based on God’s standard - A standard being a system of measurement. Through time, God displayed what was unacceptable behavior. Those that did not adhere to acceptable behavior were cut off. God selected Saul to rule Israel and anointed him but when Saul did not adhere to God’s standards, God chose another, David. David sinned very many times but he differed from Saul because he repented and turned from his sin. God rose up the prophets. Those men and women, the majority men, who had refused to compromise God’s holy standards. God chose to speak to and through men in extraordinary visitations and these events were recorded.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.  John 15:1, 4-5

Romans 11 is explicit in this complete study. Read these various versions before we continue. Read both. They’re good.

God had given clues throughout history to the prophets concerning what Jesus would come to earth and do. ISAIAH and David prophesied the crucifixion. Prophets said that God would come. Jesus’ very name was given in Psalm 110 in the Hebrew text. Yeshua. He is Jesus.

God knew and had seen that He would have to step into human form. He who is Christ, Anointed One, Messiah, HaMashiach, The Precious One, The Word, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Son of God, the only begotten of the Father, the One named Jesus, Lamb of God. It was He who would make it possible not only for those covenanted through Abraham who had died in God obeying the law, those who were in paradise, but God made it possible that any person outside the covenant of Abraham could be engrafted into the promise.

Abraham was he who was chosen by God. Elected. Due to his adoration of God.
Descendants of Abraham were of the promise and covenanted with God because of their connection to Abraham. This was so for all who remained in obedience to God and His Law. This covenant hinged on obedience. Part of that obedience was to cover or pay for your sins with the blood of a spotless animal in sacrifice to God. For without the shedding of blood their is no remission (pardon) from sins.

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.  Matthew 26:28
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.  Hebrews 9:22

All have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. Because of Adam’s sin, the fatal sin disease has passed onto all generations of people on the planet earth. It is not false gods who can pardon man. It is not the law that pardons man. It is not doctrine, nor The Fates, nor destiny, nor ethnicity, nor the ability to be the nicest kindest person that has ever lived. There is only one who can pardon and save mankind from their sins and destruction. This Rescuer of whom I speak is God in flesh, Jesus.

It is through Christ that we may become a Chosen just as Abraham, Noah, or David. You can accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Jesus who is a descendant of Abraham, He who is God made flesh, can make you an Elect.

If you are not a Christian and on your way to Heaven, you can accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Being a Jew does not secure Heaven for you. Being Arab, White, Black, American, Oriental, nor any other makes you on your way to Heaven. You must accept Christ, the provision of God.

Abraham and all the others recorded in the scriptures before Christ were stored in a place after death because they walked with God. This place was called Paradise. I don’t mean Heaven but a holding place for the righteous dead. Even they could not enter Heaven until Christ shed His blood and preached to them. Now those saints of old are in Heaven with The Most High, Christ, and the angels. But, they had to first embrace Christ Jesus.

You see my friend, anyone can become a Chosen, an elect of God.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as others count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have ever lasting life. John 3:16
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:17
for this is right and acceptable before God our Saviour, who doth will all men to be saved, and to come to the full knowledge of the truth; for one is God, one also is mediator of God and of men, the man Christ Jesus, who did give himself a ransom for all. 1 Timothy 2:3-6

Christians are spiritual descendants of Abraham. When you accept Christ as Saviour, you can reap the benefits of being engrafted into God’s chosen people. There is an awesome inheritance awaiting. Come. Open the door to Him. You can become a joint heir in the unlimited inheritance.
