Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. ISAIAH 40:28-31

A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. Psalm 103:1-11

The Secret Place

There is a path which no bird knows, nor has the vulture's eye caught sight of it; the sons of pride have not walked on it, the lion has not passed by. Job 28:7-8

We all desire peace. We all desire comfort. We all desire acceptance. We want to be healthy and free. Yet, there is only one who can deliver. Jesus the Christ.

It's amazing how that the biggest, most intelligent, wealthiest Being in the Universe cares about us.

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Psalm 8:4-9

It is almost mind-boggling how that God loves us so much that He would deliver His own Son up to be killed, to become the sinless sacrfice to allow men to once again have access to Himself. God cares. He loves us as a Father and Mother love their newborn child.

Our worship, our singing, our prayers, they are much like what children's drawings are to parents. As we sing, as we worship God, God adores the drawings and gifts. Moms and Dads place the drawings on the refrigerator and they adore every gift from the heart of their child. Imagine what the Ultimate Parent, God, experiences when we give something from our heart to Him. He adores us.

"Who is man that thou art mindful of him?" I can imagine an angel asking the Lord this. Heaven's splendor. The Magnificient worship of that place! Our worship doesn't compare to Heaven's. A child's drawing doesn't compare to a Van Gough or the Mona Lisa in monetary value. Yet, God loves it when we say I love you in our feeble ways.

We talk so much about waiting on God. But so many times, He is waiting on us...

The secret place Lord. Lead us. Help us abide in you every second, every hour of the day. For in you is the secret place. In you. In you. In you.

Today's thought: Jesus is my secret place.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall rest under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Jehovah, my refuge and my fortress; my God; in Him I will trust. Surely He will deliver you from the fowler's trap and from the destroying plague. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall trust. His truth shall be your shield, and buckler. You shall not fear the terror by night; nor because of the arrow that flies by day; nor for the plague that walks in darkness, of the destruction laying waste at noonday. A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes you shall look and see the reward of the wicked. Because You, O Jehovah, are My refuge; if You have made the Most High Your dwelling-place, no evil shall befall You, nor shall any plague come near Your dwelling. For He shall give His angels charge over You, to keep You in all Your ways. They shall bear You up in their hands, lest You dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread on the lion and adder; the young lion and the jackal You shall trample underfoot. Because He has set His love on Me, therefore I will deliver Him; I will set Him on high, because He has known My name. He shall call on Me, and I will answer Him; I will be with Him in trouble; I will deliver Him, and honor Him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation. Psalm 91
