Am I Donkey or Elephant? I prefer the Lion and the Lamb.
Many nations of the world disalign from the Lion and Lamb.
The true kingdom has been a long line of Melchizedeks. The 10th and final one is Jesus, the Word of God.
The Melchizedek in Genesis was Shem, son of Noah.
The progression of Kings of Earth have been Adam, Kenan/Cainan, Enoch, Methuselah, Noah, Shem, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Jesus. Jacob had divided the office among his 12 sons. Jesus was baptized into this office by John the Baptist.
Outside of the Melchizedekian leadership, there is no other office comparable.
In the USA, there have been Christians from both major parties. We are conditioned to fight the opposing clan.
It appears that the true measure of leftness and rightness is government control.
Anarchy seems far right as it means no government. A rough scale below:
Communism - Feudalistic Monarchy - Socialism - Democracy - Republic - Anarchy
On the scale, I prefer Republic or Constitutional Republic where the government limits itself and the people limit the government.
I prefer a quote from President John Adams:
"Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide." - President John Adams to John Taylor on December 17, 1814
Delegate Dr. James McHenry recorded a conversation Ben Franklin had.
The conversation took place outside Independence Hall on the final day of the Constitutional Convention in 1787. A prominent Philadelphia resident, Mrs. Elizabeth Willing Powel, asked Franklin:
"Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?"
To which Franklin replied:
"A republic, if you can keep it."
The quote highlights that the Founding Fathers deliberately created a Republic (a government where elected representatives operate under the rule of law defined by a Constitution), rather than a pure Democracy which they often feared would devolve into mob rule or "tyranny of the majority".
Franklin's famous words was a warning that the new form of government was not self-sustaining. Its endurance would depend entirely on the virtue, vigilance, and active participation of the citizens to uphold the rule of law and resist the temptation to let the government become a monarchy or a pure democracy (tyranny of the many).
Vote often. I recommend a New Testament Bible filter for who you vote for. I also recommend looking at what the history of the USA entails, including the history of Religion in America. See: https://www.loc.gov/exhibits/religion/
